The opening of the Science Museum's revamped and expanded Launchpad exhibition by the prime minister marks one small step for a major London attraction - and also one giant leap for graphics solutions provider, Stylo.
Stylo have recently recruited Mike Wilson, a museum graphics specialist and it was he who guided this challenging project from brief to completion.
The gallery had grown by one third so the graphics had to be big. Stylo’s brief was to help bring dramatic theatre to the world of physical phenomena, delivering gallery graphics that fit with the exhibition’s theme of helping children engage with science.
Mike says “Working with museum fit-out specialists, The Moule Partnership (TMP), the bespoke designs required us to use a little science of our own to help produce, in particular, a slightly unusual one-piece PVC banner measuring 46metres x 2.8metres (manufactured and installed within a week), and five large, seamless light box graphics.”
Having just installed new, specialist equipment, Stylo can now deliver leading graphic solutions to this specialist market quickly and cost effectively.
