Scandinavian design has never been so prominent. So, when design partnership Simon Leach & David Sudlow asked Stylo to work with them for the V&A at the Museum of Childhood, we couldn't have been keener to get involved.

The exhibition centres around the most iconic Nordic designs from the 20th and 21st Century and how they are reflected in brands such as BRIO, LEGO & Moomins. It also focuses on how children have inspired design, architecture & literature.

THE OUTCOME

We reflected the simplicity of Nordic design by printing direct to plywood to create the timeline that runs through the exhibition. We used hidden 3D fabricated fixings to ensure the minimal feeling was maintained.

The exhibition also gets interactive with magnetic maps, touch screens, wooden puzzles and colouring-in. Children can sit at bespoke designed tables which have artwork printed directly to the surface.
